Krishak Bandhu (কৃষক বন্ধু) Scheme
The West Bengal government launched the Krishak Bondhu (কৃষক বন্ধু) scheme in 2019. Under this programme, registered farmers receive financial assistance for farming and social security benefits in case of accidental death.
Direct benefits under this scheme include financial assistance for farming activities, available in two equal instalments per year, during the Kharif and Rabi seasons, ranging from a minimum of 4,000 rupees to a maximum of 10,000 rupees. Farmers with cultivable land of 1 acre or more are eligible for an annual assistance of 10,000 rupees. Farmers with less than 1 acre of cultivable land will receive a minimum of 4,000 rupees per year.
Krishak Bondhu (কৃষক বন্ধু) Eligibility
To apply for the Krishak Bandhu scheme, farmers must fulfil the following conditions:
- Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal state.
- Must be a farmer or sharecropper with agricultural land.
- Must be between 18 and 60 years of age for the death benefit.
- Must have valid documents like Land Papers (Deed, Porcha), Ration Card, Aadhaar card, Voter Card and Bank Account.

Krishak Bandhu Application Process- Let us inform you that you have to apply offline for the Krishak Bandhu Scheme. There is no online facility for applying for the Krishak Bandhu Scheme. Let’s find out how to apply.
- First, visit the Duare Sarkar Camp or the SDO/BDO/Agriculture office to collect the Krishak Bandu application form.
- Fill the application form carefully.
- Submit it along with the required documents to the Duare Sarkar Camp, or BDO (Block Development Office), or SDO (Sub-Divisional Office).
Check Krishak Bandhu Status Online
Farmers can check their Krishak Bondhu Scheme application or payment status online-
- First, visit the official website:https://krishakbandhu.wb.gov.in/.
- Then click the নথিভুক্ত কৃষকের তথ্য (Registered farmer information) option.
- Enter your registered Acknowledgement No, Mobile number, Aadhaar Number, KBID, Bank account number, or voter Card ID.
- Then tick the I’m not a robot option.
- Click on “Search” to see application/payment updates.
কৃষকবন্ধু আবেদনের স্ট্যাটাস অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে চেক করার জন্য আপনি ভোটার কার্ড, আধার কার্ড, ব্যাংক অ্যাকাউন্ট নং, KBID, মোবাইল নং অথবা একনলেজমেন্ট নং ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন।

কৃষক বন্ধু প্রকল্পে নাম নথিভুক্ত করার জন্য আপনাকে দুয়ারে সরকার ক্যাম্প অথবা BDO/SDO/Agriculture অফিসে যোগাযোগ করতে হবে। কারন এই প্রকল্পের আবেদন অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে করা যাবে না। দুয়ারে সরকার ক্যাম্প বা SDO/BDO অফিস থেকে কৃষক বন্ধু প্রকল্প আবেদনের ফর্ম নিয়ে আবেদন করতে হবে।
আবেদন ফর্মটিকে নির্ভুল ভাবে ফিলাপ করে প্রয়োজনীয় নথিপত্র-এর জেরক্স কপি লাগিয়ে দুয়ারে সরকার ক্যাম্প অথবা SDO/BDO অফিসে জমা করতে হবে। আবেদন ফর্ম জমা হয়ে গেলে আপনি আপনার আবেদনের স্থিতি অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে চেক করতে পারবেন।
তবে আপনাদের জানিয়ে রাখি যে এই প্রকল্পে নাম নথিভুক্ত করার জন্য আপনার নামে চাষযোগ্য জমি থাকতে হবে। যদি আপনার নামে অন্য কোন শ্রেণীর জমি, যেমন- বাস্তু, ডাঙ্গা, পুকুর, বালুচর, বাগান, ডোবা ইত্যাদি থেকে থাকে তাহলে আপনি এই প্রকল্পের জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবেন না।
