A domicile certificate is a very important document for various government schemes and jobs these days. It basically proves that you are a permanent resident of any state in India. This certificate is also called a residence certificate or permanent address certificate.

West Bengal Domicile (Residential) Certificate Required Documents 

• Identity Proof like Voter Card (EPIC)/Defence ID Card/ Pan Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Ration Card/ Photocopy of Gorkha certificate issued from D.G.H.C, Certificate by Gram Panchayat Pradhan/ Certificate from MLA/ Certificate from MP/ Attested photocopy of call letter issued from Army/ BSF/ CRPF/ CISF/ SSB/ ITBP/ EFR.
• Birth Proof is like a Birth Certificate/ Admit Card for MP.
• Passport Colored Photograph.

Eligibility 

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
• Women (Female) are not originally from the state, but are married to a permanent resident of the state.
• Applicants must have an Aadhaar Card or any other document (Voter Card, Ration Card, Driving License, passport) that proves that they are a permanent resident of West Bengal.

• At first, visit the Official website of the e-district Portal.
• Log in to the Website using your Login Credentials (Mobile Number or Email ID).
• Now select the “Services” Option and click the “Certificates List” option.
• Then click the “Local Residence (Domicile) Certificate” option.
• Then accept the condition.
• Now Enter Your Full Details, Father’s Name, Address, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
• Now, Upload the Required Documents like a Color Photo, Identity Proof, DOB Proof, and Address Proof.
• Click on the Submit Button after successfully filling out the Form.

• Log in to the Portal using your username and Password.
• You can check the Domicile Certificate Status using the AIN Number on the Dashboard.
